OT: What's a 1926 speaker sound like?

Apparently there is no real interest in what it sounded like, but rather what it measured like, which are 2 different things. I think measurements capture very little about the actual sound or listening pleasure.

It would be interesting to hear what sonic differences the speaker conveyed. Some aspects of musicality may have been better than modern speakers, and some worse. Of course it is all relevant to the listener's ears, but at least would be one data point.

Similarly, I would be really interested in the sonic differences between a standard Altec 604 and the rare field coil 604. Don't care a bit about measurement, but interested in the musicality and soul of the sound. I think that often the modern improvements are based on reduced labor cost, reduced material cost, and mass marketing. None of these really improve sound, but do improve availability and profit margin.
